Matthew 25:1-13, Prov 24:16, Philippians 2:14, Ephesians 4:29, 1 Peter 4:9, 1 Cor 10:10

Men and brethren, when Jesus was on the cross of Calvary he never said I am finished. He said ‘it is finished’ John 19:30. Most of us are in the habit of concluding our destiny at the very start of frustration and disaster. Most of us are professionals in describing the magnitude of our humiliations even when no one is asking. When little thing happens, we conclude that the worst has come. Some people are marriage complainers and there is no love in their family because they complain about every single thing. They have turned their house to complainant territory, a camp of no gratitude and a kingdom of no appreciation. It is time to stand up and do something with your life. It is not where you are that determines who you are but who you are that determines where you are. Therefore, you don’t make progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. You make progress by implementing ideas. May Heaven empower you in grand style. 

Whining shows an attitude that you are ungrateful and bitter. It often tests God’s patience. Whining will lead you to further disobedience. Do you know that along with complaining comes frowning? Whining too much makes you to focus on all the negative things and you can lose sight of all the good things God does in your life. This can lead to an attitude where you lose faith and cause others to lose faith. Stop whining! The Israelites wasted forty years murmuring and complaining in the wilderness, when they could have just obeyed God and entered into their Promised Land. May you be blessed. 

We live in a very complaining society. And I really believe we are breeding a generation of complainers and they seem to be getting worse with each passing generation. And may I say that all of your complaints in one way or another are complaints against the providential purpose and will of God. ….we’ll never do it, we can’t make it, and we can’t defeat them. It’s a bad report. It will fail; it will never make it…. It is a BIG sin against God and works against your fulfillment and destiny in life.

Your light must not quench. The parable that Jesus gave concerning the virgins in Matthew 25:1-13. And five of [the ten virgins] were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them. But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. You must carry extra strength that comes from God’s word in the battles of life.

You must be persistence in your calling; your persistence must continue even when everything seems to be falling apart and when it looks that like everything is getting worse. Stop whining and start winning. Learn to stand up under pressure for heaven has given you the ability to bounce back. “For a just man falls seven times, and rises up again:” Proverbs 24:16. Someone here is on his way to the palace for honour. 

What do you do when things go wrong? How do you react? Are you a person who steps up and puts on a positive attitude or are you a complainer. Sometimes it is easy to fall into a whiney state-of-mind, but the Bible has some advice and inspiration about complaining.

Number One: “Do all things without grumbling or questioning” Philippians 2:14

Number Two: “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” Ephesians 4:29

Number Three: “Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door.” James 5:9

Number Four: “Show hospitality to one another without grumbling.” 1 Peter 4:9

Number Five: “And the people complained in the hearing of the Lord about their misfortunes, and when the Lord heard it, his anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some outlying parts of the camp. Then the people cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died down. So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the Lord burned among them. Now the rabble that was among them had a strong craving. And the people of Israel also wept again and said, “Oh that we had meat to eat!” Numbers 11:1-4

Number Six: “Nor grumble, as some of them did and were destroyed by the Destroyer.” 1 Corinthians 10:10

Number Seven: “And Moses said, “When the Lord gives you in the evening meat to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the Lord has heard your grumbling that you grumble against him—what are we? Your grumbling is not against us but against the Lord.” Exodus 16:8

Number Eight: “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Number Nine: “They murmured in their tents, and did not obey the voice of the Lord.” Psalm 106:25

Number Ten: “Not that I am speaking of being in need, for I have learned in whatever situation I am to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.” Philippians 4:11-12

Right where you are, the basic attitude in life is an attitude that does not complain. And when you’re belly-aching after getting stuff with Gods provision and complaining to God about how it is and how your life is and how your kids are and how your circumstances are and how this and how that, just know that the Lord who hates complaining is standing at the door. This is the reason this commission encourages testimony testifiers to add a seed – ‘Seed of Gratitude’ as a sign of gratitude to God and also to people who are praying daily for you. It is time to ‘Stop Whining Start Winning’ Be blessed
