Men and brethren, when the enemy tries to come in and cause you to be upset and discouraged, you must be determined to make the best out of that uncomfortable situation. Your past may explain why you are suffering, but you must not use it as an excuse to stay in bondage. Jesus will walk us across the finish line to victory in any area if you are willing to go all the way through it with Him in praises. “Praise the Lord, all you warriors of his, you servants of his who carry out his desires!” Psalm 103:21. There is a war going on, and your mind is the battlefield. But the good news is that God is fighting on your side. Therefore, whatever you need that you don’t have, Praise God for it now, and see the breakthrough come to pass. Release “Praise Warfare” against the enemies of your destiny Psalm 68:1. Praising God is the activator to the presence and power of God (Exodus 15:10-11) and your praise brings God on the scene (Psalm 22:3) because God has ordained your mouth for victory. (Psalm 8:2 Matt. 21:16)

Let me remind you that your Spiritual life and survival depends on your weapon of Praise! If you are to receive from your loving Lord the blessing intended for you and to command victory over the enemy, you must enter into a place, a life of praise in your closest and also with fellow Christians.

Right where you are, when we are under attack many times, we don’t feel emotionally ready to praise – like when we are feeling down, depressed, irritated, ready to give up, sad, emotionally tired, or you can’t think another thought apart from your troubles and pain and your mind is so tired.

Praise to God is communicating who God is, what He has done, and what He can do. Praise is a weapon against evil and the enemies of God. You don’t need to wait for things to get really bad before you start praising God, Praise him in season and out of season because the bible says God inhabits the praises of His people Psalm 22:3. What a tremendous act of love and what a strong weapon against the enemy to know and have the ability to raise songs unto God as sacrifice and as our only source of deliverance. It is a sacrifice of praise!

‘In fact praise is mentioned 259 times in the Bible, and 150 are in Psalms. Praise comes from the Latin word “pretium”, meaning price. Prize is a variation of this word. Originally it meant “to set a great price on”. So when we praise God, we are placing a great value on Him and His acts. God sees us as His “treasured possession” Deuteronomy 7:6, Exodus 19:5, and He wants to be our Treasure and our First Love. “Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. Glorifying His Father in prayer is another way of saying Jesus was praising His Father. Let’s do the same! Hebrews 13:15-16.

We must understand our position in the order of created authority. How many of us who are true believers fall back in trying to defeat the enemy in our own strength without realizing it. According to the Word of God we humans were made lower than the angels Hebrews 2:7. We are up against an enemy who is more powerful then we are in our human strength. But the bible affirms and confirms that “Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants you have ordained strength, because of your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger.” Psalm 8:2

Those of us who are in Christ have been placed in a superior position so that we are able to activate the Lord’s weapon for us to be used against the enemy. It will have power only if we are in tune with the Lord – surrendered to Him which is to trust in His promises for each day. If we use it in our own strength it will fail

By chosen praise from your mouth to defeat the enemy and by praising God – His attributes, His characteristics, His actions and accomplishments you are casting down the distractive, discouraging, tempting thought attacks of the enemy 2 Corinthians 10:3-5. The devil will constantly attempt to bring distraction in your mind – your rights, your wants, anger over a hurt, envy, jealousy, temptations, justifying wrong actions or desires to look at things, read things, listen to things that go against the teachings of the Word of God.

Number One: PRAISE IS HONOURING GOD – It is amazing that Jesus taught his disciples in Luke 11 how to always begin their prayer with praise in order to honour and glorify God. Psalm 29:2 tells us to give God the glory that is due Him. Praising God position us as candidates for supernatural exploits and helps to understand who God is, and His greatness.

Number Two: PRAISE HELPS TO MAINTAIN FOCUS ON GOD – Psalm 22:3 says that God inhabits the praises of His people. As we praise Him we raise up a throne or structure for Him to fill 2 Chronicles 5:13. Praise sensitizes us to God’s presence, and helps us take our focus off of ourselves and onto Him.

Number Three: PRAISE GIVES THE ABILITY TO KNOW GOD – It helps us to focus on His character and His attributes. As we praise Him we rehearse our knowledge of Him, and we come to know Him as what we praise Him to be.

Number Four: PRAISE BREAKS THE ENEMY’S OPPRESSION – Ladies and Gentlemen, a man of praise carries in him spiritual weapon of mass destruction and restoration. In Acts 16:25-26 Paul and Silas praised God and the doors in the prison they were in were opened and they escaped. Praise lifts us out of oppression, and also helps us out of our self-centred ways.

Number Five: PRAISE CONFUSES AND MESMERISES THE FORCES OF EVIL – The power of praise in battles is shown in 2 Chronicles 20, Psalm 8:2, and Psalm 149:5-9. Praise helps us to focus on God and realize our need for Him, and thus turn the battle over to Him. When we do this, God will then bring Victory. This makes Praise in Prayer and Dependence on God great weapons in Spiritual Battles.

Praise will tame your attitude and tongue to man and God. It will allow God to touch your life daily to touch others. Praise can unveil the beautiful heart of God to you, making you to understand the happenings of the supernatural. Praise is the bread for living and the stability of your miracles. When you Praise God, he gives you the unsearchable hidden treasures of heaven that will make you become an unparalleled example of greatness, because our Awesomely awesome God is an Infinite beyond comprehension God, He will anoint your head with oil of joy to your cup running over.
