Proverbs 24:20, Jeremiah 29:11, Philippians 3:20-21, Heb 11:13, 1, 1 Corinthians 15:19, Ruth 1:12, Zephaniah 3:17

Men and brethren, there are times in life that it feels like the future looks bleak and you wonder why you are suffering, you wonder why you were created; you wonder whether there will be a way out of your calamity. What do you do when everyone and everything expects you to fall apart? Hope begins in the dark; the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the morning will come. The reason is because; the darkest path of the night marks the beginning of a new day. Therefore, grace is a hope of a bright tomorrow in spite of the darkness of today and having hope is keeping everything together when everyone expects you to fall apart. I am confident that God will not let you fall. You shall not sink. 

The scripture says in Proverbs 24:14 “Know that wisdom is such to your soul; if you find it, there will be a future, and your hope will not be cut off.” It means that wisdom makes hope possible. God himself has declared in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. (Philippians 3:20-21). Hope knows no fear. Hope dares to blossom even while place in the valley of defeat. Hope secretly feeds and strengthens promise. The difference between a quitter and the man that fought to the end is Hope. Here this “These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth” Heb 11:13

Right where you are, never say never, because limits, like fears, are often just an illusion. Your Hope does not come from winning, it comes from believing God. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is hope. The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof. When you have lost hope, you have lost everything. And when you think all is lost, when all is dire and bleak, there is always hope. And “If in Christ we have hope in this life only, we are of all people most to be pitied” 1 Corinthians 15:19.

Hope comes, not as a blanket promise, but under a condition. We must come to Jesus and find salvation through him. It is only in Him that we can have a diplomatic passport as a member of the Citizen of Hope. Sometimes, our earthly desire is to avoid trials and struggles. Indeed, we tend to measure the quality of our salvation by our lack of problems. Yet, hope not is measured by the lack of trials, but by what learn about Jesus when we walk through the trials. Suffering produces endurance, endurance shapes our character, and the knowledge that Jesus has successfully led us through trials before, gives us the confidence that he will see us through the next one.

This confidence in God’s provision is the kind of hope which does not lead to disappointment. Hope comes when we find our salvation in Jesus, when we call on him, when we come to him, and pray in his name. When these things happen we will have the hope that we seek. Having established this, we can now add depth and flavor to the hope we have in him. “Faith is the assurance of things you have hoped for, the absolute conviction that there are realities you’ve never seen” Hebrews 11:1. The first time hope is mentioned in the Bible is by Naomi), saying to her daughters-in-law that there was no hope of her having more sons (Ruth 1:12). I can only imagine the deep sorrow Naomi must have felt after losing her husband, her two married sons, and her hope for future family. To her surprise her daughter-in-law Ruth chose to leave her family, worship Naomi’s God, and follow Naomi to her homeland. What a precious gift of presence and personal sacrifice Ruth gave to Naomi. Can you think of a time in your past when a circumstance seemed hopeless, but God finally revealed His hope to you or through someone? The story of Ruth and Naomi reminds us to trust God and know His hope even when circumstances appear to have no hope. While our story may appear hopeless now, often later on we can look back on history (His Story!) and discover God’s plan at work in our lives during that time. Therefore, Hope is not wishful thinking, but trusting God Himself and what He has promised. So that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Titus 3:7. We must remember that:

Number One: God is always with you. There is no hopeless situation, what we have is men who reason hopelessly. Zephaniah 3:17

Number Two: Our hope of eternal life is not a biblical mistake. Titus 1:1-2

Number Three: God has a plan for you! You need this reminder to motivate your new beginning that no matter where you are now, you can never be an abandon property. Jeremiah 29:11-12

Number Four: No worries if you have confidence in the Lord. Jeremiah 17:7-8

Number Five: God will fulfill his promises. Numbers 23:19

Number Six: You need a stubborn Faith that has a foundation in hope to renew your life day by day. 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

Number Seven: God is our living hope. Staying connected to your God connection guarantees you collecting your collections in life. 1 Peter 1:3

Number Eight: Hope in all situations. Consistency in Hope is the assurance that your miracle will always come, it may be delayed but it can never be denied. Job 13:15

Number Nine: Hope Always. This is the condition for kingdom partakers. Their mindset is programmed and positioned to always hope. Therefore, situations and circumstances cannot change their perspectives about God. Psalm 71:14

Number Ten: Hope does not disappoint. If God cannot fail, hope cannot disappoint. Romans 5:5, Titus 1:1-2

I pray these comforting hope message will reach you in your time of need because often times, life can overwhelm us. We feel desperate and distant from God. It is during these times that we need hope most of all. Remember that God is always with you. Guiding your actions even when you don’t feel his presence.
