Men and brethren, it is the anxiety that comes from the feeling that you are under attack, that your mother-in-law or any other person is after you that make us panic and lose our peace and patience. Therefore, things that may not even happen, the fear of failure, the fear of defeat, the fear of tomorrow, the fear of what we shall eat and what we shall wear tomorrow, the fear of who will pay the medical bill, the children school fees, the fear of all sort of things, can and will take your joy away when you drop your guard. Boy oh boy, I have discovered that some people cannot enjoy where they are because they are worried about where they are going. I pray for you today, may the peace of God rest upon you in Jesus name. 

The scripture says “Be careful for nothing (Don’t worry about a thing); but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7. It takes patience to command peaceful marriage. It takes patience to possess your possession and live in peace with all men. May this awesomely awesome God I serve grant you peace by all means. 

What is Peace? Peace is the absence of war and hostilities; it means an agreement or a treaty to end an hostilities; it is also the freedom from quarrels and disagreement; it is living in harmony with your friends and relatives; peace can also be a public security and order; it can be an inner contentment and serenity, it can also be a state of tranquillity and freedom from strife. Peace can also be a form of silence when you are been maltreated and cheated. The most important is that Peace is you relaxing and knowing that when things are out of control, they are in His control. Peace is to be silent in the midst of chaos. 2 Kings 6:15-17. But patience it is a virtue needed more than ever when impatience, intolerance, oversensitivity and impulsive anger are so prevalent in our world. Anger towards man and God, and animosity can be the result of many negative influences of a life without patience. The manipulation by our selfish nature and our human abilities to make major improvements are pitifully weak. We need God’s help! Galatians 5:22-23. I cannot think of a virtue that is more desperately needed in the church today, or harder to produce in our lives, than patience. No farmer can sow a seed now and expect to reap harvest in a jiffy; we must know that it’s through tribulation and tough times that we learn patience. I have also notice that our Leaders in government needs time to make things happen but we must be patient with them.

The truth is that, it is not in our nature to be patient; there are weeds of pride, selfishness and anger that can choke out the fruit of patience. Our world now believes that impatience is now a virtue, Proverbs 14:29, Proverbs 15:18, 2 Peter 3:9. We have programmed our thoughts with a thousand reasons every day to have anxiety. Therefore, some people are making us poorer every day by selling us drugs to cope with life and yet our generation die prematurely compared to our great grand parents. We take pills to lie down, pills to get up, pills to digest food, and some may want happy pills in their pocket in case people get on their nerves. People are getting rich because of the facts that we are not obeying the word of God, because the word has a prescription for anxiety with no side effects.

Right where you are, to be anxious is to have anxiety over a threat that has not been executed. Do you know that we live in a world where people who are single worry if they would ever get married, people who are married worry that they are married and if they would ever have a child; to them marriage is a besieged city those outside want to jump in and those inside want to jump out. We also have other who just like to worry about family and even the food and water they take; to them everyone is a suspect.

I present to you the Prince of Peace, whatever you are going through is not foreign to him Job 19:25-26, he is in the furnace of fire with you and that is why you are tougher than your tough times. Jesus has declared “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” John 14:27. The prescription is to have a prayer life, not just a church life, not looking for holy water, not running after Pastors or Priest or native doctors but by prayer and supplications with thanksgiving, let your request be made known to God. This is one of the reason we have the prayer school to make you a man or woman of distinction, a man or woman that heaven can hear when you call- He also said before you call He will answer you. Isaiah 65:24.

In the midst of your tough time, in the arena of a husband who does everything to make you crazy, in the hot seat of a nagging woman; the Peace of God is your security system; it will guide your mind and heart as you go through life. Therefore be at peace with yourself for victory is sure.

Life has a way of throwing unexpected things at us; things that you were not prepared for, things that you would have easily overcome. The fact remains that you cannot have more impact, more anointing, more blessings without more attacks. I sometimes call it, New levels New devils. We must be patient with God. Patience is the powerful attribute that enables a man or woman to remain steadfast under tough times and continue pressing on. It is self-restraint which does not hurriedly retaliate against a wrong. It is the ability to accept delay or disappointment graciously without becoming upset. It is a calm endurance based on the certain knowledge that God is in control.

Jesus described a woman with the Power of patience in Luke 18:1-8. The widow wore the unjust Judge down because she was patient, she was steady and consistent, and willing to go everyday and ask the same question; he got frustrated and she did not get frustrated, and she was the one with the adversary, but she had patience the bible says you have need of patience that once you have done the will of God you might receive the promise Hebrews 10:36. Therefore, don’t give up, don’t give in, don’t give out, just wait on him, he may not come when you want him to come but he is right there. They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount with wings Isaiah 40:31. You need to get on the nerves of heaven and say lord it is me again because God rewards them that diligently seek him, Hebrews 11:6 – meaning people who again and again and again keep knocking never backing out will receive their harvest. It is time to declare ‘Let the King Sleep No More Until I Receive My Harvest’. The hope we taste in the promises we trust will often be the sweetest thing we experience in this age. And his reward will be beyond our imagination as we recognize that he is onboard with us.
