Men and brethren, transforming your life begins with the renewing of your mind. You cannot renew your mind so that you can reach your destiny if you are going to carry within you a lot of old garbage. There has to be some cleaning up by the word before there is some going forward. There is no fast cleaning up to the things that are already inside you. We also tend to avoid doing anything that will cause us to be rejected. We may act our part, knowing that negative words or actions will result from our holding different values. This occurs in families, the workplace, and also in social groups. We desperately want to be accepted, and the desire for relationship strongly shapes many of our values. Whenever we speak or act in order to impress others, or have them like or adore us, we demonstrate this reality. If the desire to be accepted by others is so strong that we are compelled to act against other values that we hold, we experience inner conflict.

You need time for the cleaning up by the word, your value system, your way of former life; if your parents instill wrong value system, what had taken years for you will need time by the word to clean them up. It is not magic, it is not just lay hands on me, speak the word and I am free. You must dwell in the word of God. You cannot lose 100 pounds in 10 days and so are the things of the Spirit. Transformation is an ongoing process; you got some things to fight and some things to deal with. It is a process and it requires patience Luke 21:19. It takes time for a man to turn into a Good Husband; it takes time for a woman to bring out the wife that she really wants to be, it takes some wisdom and some growing up, learning when to shut up and learning when to hold your peace, and when to speak; you don’t get that when the Pastor pronounced you ‘man and wife’

Ladies and Gentleman you can be pronounced but it isn’t you! God is using you while he is changing you; you are not a finished product to be on display but you are in process Philippians 3:11-14. Our deepest values will determine whose attention we will seek and which relationships we will sacrifice to gain recognition. We tend to think that our own ideas are better than the ideas of others, so we often want others to do what we desire. However, in pressing for control, we can cause people to dislike us and our attitudes. And whenever we demand to have our way, we damage the relationships with those we are seeking to control. If we exploit others to become rich, we will gain a reputation that will haunt all of our relationships and bring disgrace to us and our generation.

Jesus said when you accept me, you have accepted my Word, because ‘I Am the Word’ John 1:1, then are you qualified to see and live the kingdom. The acceptance of the word guarantees the beginning and the continuation to be clean. Just as you develop body muscles and tissues when you eat food, the same way, the same way, you develop spiritual muscles and grow in your spirit. John wrote I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers. It means that as you are prospering spiritually, your physical body also prospers alongside simultaneously 3 John 1:2.

Our flesh is fed from the spirit, the question becomes, which spirit is inside of your spirit feeding you? Is it the spirit of fear, of doubt, of unbelief? John 15: 1-7 It’s the word the Spirit reveals to you that prospers your life in a way that maketh rich and adds no sorrow. Brethren, know that you can be born again, by Gods spirit and His word, but can still be feeding your flesh via your soul through the manipulations of the spirit of this world Rom 12:2, Ephesians 4:23.

Finally, I wonder if we are that dedicated to the Word of God? Do we read the Word of God if we have time? Do we study the Word of God if we have an opportunity, or do we look upon the Word of God as source material which we must store up in our hearts and our lives. That proverbial rainy day that may never come to you materially, but it will come to you spiritually because there is not an individual who has ever lived who has not gone through some chastening or trial in which the Word of God will stand him in good stead. Are you hiding the Word away in your heart? Your dedication to the Word can be measured by the manner in which you are laying it up and the manner in which you are storing it up. Psalm 119:11

Don’t let your past and present control you. Your present condition is not real; it is just a process condition that you are going through to get to the next place. If you stop seeing where you are as a destination, that one awareness will give you lubrication to reach the destination that God has for you.
