The Anointing is the function of consecration. It is a life totally dedicated to God and the things that matter to Him. The Anointing of the HolySpirit of God answers to your personal consecration. Without the love of righteousness and hatred for sin, you cannot demonstrate the power of God. My problem is that we are full of copycats, without knowing that the anointing of God upon a man changes a commoner to a man of royalty.

The Anointing allows you to solve a peculiar and particular problems. It is not by age but by the grace of God. The gospel is designed in a way that it is a river that filters itself. If a pastor is given to sin, he will not convince anybody to give up his or her sin. So, he will have a church of sinners because it takes the power of God to declare a man spotless. That pastor will become an accident waiting to happen.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing” Isaiah 10:27 (KJV).

Men and brethren, Anointing is the peculiar concentrated presence of God. Heaven backs a man with Gods anointing with understanding. And understanding is to have what I called prophetic, insightful, revelation knowledge of whatever you discover.

When Jesus met Peter and asks for his boat, there was no Pentecostal sermon. Peter had no fish so why worry about the boat, after the master had used the boat; he addressed the problem and miracles were wrought, because the anointing is the need locator.

We were in Oron- Nigeria for a programme, a woman got up and began to prophesy and as I listened to God, God said to me she is just repeating the gossip they had in Eket-Nigeria before she left for that meeting. So I told some of the pastors around me that this woman is not speaking of God, they said to me let us hear her, she is a powerful prophetess. Most Nigerians have problems receiving the anointing of Prophesy. Why? Because we tell a lot of lies; we backbite, we take pleasure in slandering, and a man that shall be a prophet shall be a man of few words. He must be a man of prayer; a man giving to fasting. It is not a man who wants to be heard, but a man who wants to obey.

Anointing has only one use; service; not for spiritual entertainment. If you must have a Kingly anointing operating in your life, the seven Spirits of the lord must be found in you; the Spirit of the lord, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge, and the fear of the lord. Isa 11:2. After David was anointed, he became spiritually stubborn to declare the superiority of the God he knows and serve because stubbornness is refusal to unnecessary conformities. ‘But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things’ 1 John 2:20.

Anointing comes with a price. Anointing is not only a basket to collect Amen at the conclusion to every word of God that you hear. It is in the studying, the believing and the doing. What have you given up that you may follow God, and be ready to be used powerfully? Because what makes you a man of God is what you have given up; not what you have gained, not how many cars you have acquired. For a man that Heaven has anointed shall not be an ordinary man. He shall not die of disgrace, and he shall not miss his destiny.

The Anointing is contagious. It can affect your business positively, your academics and your entire life. Because anything the anointing touches, it blesses. Few years ago armed robbers came to my house and when they got to the gate, they said the gate began to grow and their heads began to expand. Their heads became elastic. They went to one of my pastor’s son, to beg me to pray for them that God may heal them and forgive them.

There is nothing better than doing what God has called you to do, because the anointing empowers you for service. It is the beginning of your unending laughter. Don’t be scared of the challenges because anybody who has no problem has been sack by satan and rejected by God because we grow by the problem we solve. A great man solves great problems; a small man solves small problems. The crisis you are facing today will lead you to a brighter and greater future
