Luke 19:41-44, Prov 18:21, James 1:26-27, Prov 26:2, Gal 3:13-14, Gen 12:3

Men and brethren, you can never be tired of the battle against stagnation. It is one terrible power that creeps quietly into the life of spiritually careless and even careful people. Many people notice it only after it has settled to become a stronghold in their lives and affairs, after it has grown quietly and seemingly harmlessly from a small space called foothold to an embarrassing stronghold.

What is a curse of stagnation? It is you standing at the middle road of life and not to know where help can come from. A curse is you running around in blind circles without fulfilling the reason for which God has created you. God sent a man to them to become prominent, to become outstandingly successful, to become unstoppable, to become unmolestable, and to have enough food for the whole world but they did not see Jesus as son of God sent by God. Therefore, a curse is your own inability to know the man appointed by God to stand in the gap for you. A curse is you being unable to know those God have sent to help you become what God wants you to be. There are so people who don’t know the man appointed by God to bring them to a place of fruitfulness and a place of abundance. Jesus wept over Jerusalem because Jerusalem did not see the divinity in Jesus. It robbed them of miracles, it robbed them of protection, it robbed them of promotion, and it robbed them of transformation Luke 19:41-44. I speak to you today, Heaven shall set you free from every stagnation. 

There are so many of us who live a life of taking things for granted. You place curse upon your children for behaving on one occasion badly and that curse goes to rule their lives.

We speak about the curse of parents, the curse of husbands, the curse of masters, the curse of prophets, the curse of pastors. We have so many churches so that if your pastor is not treating you well, you can leave that church and go to another one, don’t quarrel or fight with your pastor; because he has the power to put a curse upon you Prov 18:21.

Sometimes I look at this generation and see people who are stupendously arrogant, we speak without fear; men may be praising you for sitting in your house with wide mouth to abuse others but you have inherited with pleasure a curse that will not only humiliate you but also mess up your own family generation Exodus 20:5. I pity men who go about squandering the riches of a nation because they are in leadership, watch out in no distant time how they will end up, and how their children will fight over their properties when they die Jeremiah 17:15.

Do you know that when your conscience dies you are a leper; as leper feels no pain; a leper does not feel any wound; and there are so many lepers among believers. Yes they can move but they cannot move God; they can’t stand like soldiers equipped to fight the battles of life.

An inheritance you hurriedly desired, and that God did not give sanction to will only announce your downfall because an over night success takes 12 years.

Therefore learn to bless your children and your wife, and not curse them. Intelligent children are stubborn because stubbornness is refusal to unnecessary conformity. Invest in your children; invest in those people that heaven has placed around you that need your help.

Time and again, the words of our mouth and our attitude can destroy the hedge God had built over us and may rob us of the power God had given to us. When your prayers are no more answered by God; when God no longer provide your needs; when His hand becomes shortened; something is absolutely out of place. The way you speak, your attitude can stop you from fulfilling your destiny and stop God from blessing you.

How many of you want your story to change? The bible says in James 1:26-27 if any man among you claims to be born again then he should know when to speak and when not to speak.

There are people with the gift of suspicion; the gift of distrust; there are people who can’t see anything good in others; they specialise in condemning and tearing others down. If your heart is in that position; you must confront that today Deut 30:19.

Each one of us must protect himself from those who are determined to lure you into sin and destroy you. Your house must not be a house of scandal; your business centre must not be a place that scandalise others; you are putting a curse upon yourself; a limitation upon yourself; you are robbing yourself of the glory and the unction and the power of God. A man who does not know where he has grieved God is an accident waiting to happen! Leviticus 26:3-13

That you are gorgeously and smashingly pretty does not guarantee a good marriage. There are so many girls who are married but who are married to men who have no value for them. That you are educated does not guarantee a good job, there are many who are educated but who are hopelessly and stupidly and wretchedly and restlessly poor. That you come from a great family, does not guarantee success. There are people; the name of their parents mocks them. I have seen a man who is poor and have no house but the parents were rich. Except the lord prospers you, there is no guarantee you will enjoy success.

One of the reasons why we don’t like to call for offering is that many of us are reluctant to give but only in giving will you prosper. Financial curse comes upon a man when he is unwilling to give. And every man that has a child must give the child offering to give to God every time that the child comes to church; that child will grow up to be financially powerful; a financial influence. It is not how hard you work that determines how much you get. It is God that decides it. All those who don’t give offering to their parents, you are making room for poverty Malachi 3:10, 1Tim 5:8.

But the bible also says something about curse without a cause; the curse shall do the righteous no more harm than the bird that flies over his head. A causeless curse is that which is uttered against one who has done nothing to deserve such denunciation.

Even as the mouths of wicked men and women, agents of darkness are full of cursing and bitterness, and especially such who are advanced above others, and are set in high places; who think they have a right to swear at and curse those below them, and by this means to support their authority and power; but what signify their curses which are without a cause? they are vain and fruitless, like Shimei’s cursing David in 2 Sam 16:12-13; they fly away, as the above birds are said to do, and fly over the heads of those on whom they are designed to light; yea, return and fall upon the heads of those that curse Psalm 109:17

The bible says to those who are redeemed of the Lord, “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Gal 3:13-14, Gen 12:3

You must rise up today and tell God whatever has stopped me from meeting the required standard; and enjoying the kind of life that you want me to enjoy, let it be dismantled. A child of God must be feared and must be respected by all. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come 2 Cor 5:17. Therefore, I decree, every curse pronounced inwardly against your destiny, break and receive fire treatment in the name of Jesus
