Jeremiah 29:11, Judges 11:1-40, 1 Sam 2:9, Deut 1:6, Exodus 12:35, Heb 12:2

Men and brethren, sometimes seasons of life present to us the true colours of men where we may feel rejected, unaccepted, not worthy or not qualified. Even by our own families. Sometimes, you may feel like you don’t fit in or belong; like you are an outcast. Hear me, man may reject you for different reasons; either they don’t like you for no just cause or because you’re not like them, or you’re not pretty, popular or smart enough, or because you are blessed and they are not, and sometimes you might even start believing those things yourself that they said about you. But God sees in you what man and even you do not see. He has a plan and a purpose in your life. I pray for you today that your destiny will be blessed with a commandingly resourceful ending.

In Jeremiah 29:11, God says I know what I have put in you, and what I am going to bring out of you. The scripture says “Now Jephthah the Gileadite was a mighty man of valour, and he was the son of a harlot: and Gilead begat Jephthah ……and they thrust out Jephthah, and said unto him, Thou shalt not inherit in our father’s house; for thou art the son of a strange woman” Judges 11:1-2. Heaven trains, sharpens and processes you by the things you pass through in life; and the bigger your challenges the bigger your testimony. That you are born again does not exempt you from the troubles of life. It is true that an unplanned life can bring a monument of pressure and stress; but it is also true that nothing happens to us without the knowledge of God. The enemies in Jephthah father’s house were more powerful than him, they bully and harass and humiliated him. They constantly mocked and ridiculed him until he had no choice but to run away. Judges 11: 2-3.  Right where you are, I dont know who has taken what belongs to you. God will fight your battle.

Jephthah was physically strong, but to him by strength shall no man prevail. The bible says “He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.” 1 Sam 2:9. It is amazing that believers go about looking for ‘sympathy’ and ‘pity party’ from people because they feel rejected and sometimes end up in ‘sin-party’. Heaven has called you not to live your life as if you were dead yesterday and there was nobody to bury you today. Trust God and the egyptians you see today, you shall see them no more. 

Are you of the generation of believers who are not investing their time, their resources, and their energy, their creativity to anything that matters to their dreams and even to God? Jephthah was born by a harlot but he was also a mighty man of valour Judges 11:1. No wonder when God calls the mighty, Jephthah was located. Judges 11:5. What others fought for; God caused it to come to him cheaply. Men and brethren, the Anointing of God can take you to the highest level of life. By that same anointing, I declare; whatever you don’t have shall be given to you today.

Right where you are, you can tell God that you have reached the plateau of the crest, let him show you another mountain; you can say to God I have sat on this mount Horeb for too long (Deut 1:6) I want to pack my sandals and posses my possession; you can say to God I want something new and not what I had been doing all this time. You can say to God, my luggage in life has been problems, firewood of troubles and pillow cases of tears; turn it to Silver and Gold. Exodus 12:35. You will not disappoint destiny. 

You may not be qualified to play the role that the world wants you to play but this God is ready to prepare the unprepared and use the untrained for greatness. He is the only specialist that qualifies the unqualified. When Jephthah was asked to do something he had never done before; he was not trained to be a soldier nor a leader or a warrior, he made a vow unto God Judges 11:30. He did not expect to be so honoured having come from the wrong side of the road. Amazingly, God does not call those who are qualified; He qualifies those that he calls. God builds his kingdom with earth’s broken things. The world looks out for the strong, the successful, the victorious, and the unbroken, to build her kingdom. But with God, it is a different story. David was abandoned in the forest to look after few sheep, you could see the anger in the brother’s eyes and what came out from them when they saw him talking about the mechanics of killing Goliath “Why camest thou down hither? and with whom hast thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? 1 Sam 17:28, but God gave him a miracle that was able to confound his family and enemies. Don’t go complaining how your mother was a harlot, your sister is a harlot and every women of your generation were harlots because complaining has power to affect your health, give you high blood pressure, and tarnishes your destiny. For Jephthah, It was not a time to start blaming God or his family members for the failures of his past. He looked unto God the author and finisher of his faith. Heb 12:2

Making a vow or covenant of purpose with God and man may seem irrelevant in the eyes of others, but it can catapult you to the place of relevance; to the place of honour and a place of promotion; and a place of lifting. Jephthah knew the power of covenant to activate his miracles, He made covenant with the people, and he also made covenant with God. He said to God, whatever that shall come out of my house if I win this battle, I will give it to you if you deliver me from this battle, if you teach my hands to war, if you grant me this miracle and testimony. Judges 11:9-10, 30 You may have lost face with the world because of your history but our God is a specialist of History. Therefore in life every glory has a story and in every story there is the His-story. You have a choice to use your challenges to become somebody.

Do not allow your family members who hate you and speak evil of you, or your office workers who are not comfortable at your presence and others to define your idea of attractiveness nor allow them to control your self esteem because it is your bank account for breakthrough. Notice that in Jephthah rejection, the man refused to be dejected. Therefore, ‘In the process of time” Judges 11:4, it was his turn to be celebrated. Heaven is processing you and when it is over, you will shine forth like Gold. Your season when men who rejected you in the past shall come back to sing your Hosanna has come. May you be celebrated!
