Spouse, first of all, pay attention to your partner’s background.  For instance, if your spouse is the type that grew up in an environment where he or she did not enjoy parental love, then you should know that such a person will want a spouse that will openly demonstrate love.  A man that had a nagging mother will not want his wife to nag. This understanding will help you a great deal.

Spouse, seek marital wisdom by asking God. It is the principal tool for securing better understanding of your spouse.  Wisdom is the trade secret of a remarkable kind of marriage.  Once your marriage is founded on wisdom, the devil cannot pull it down. Your marriage will be founded upon a rock that no wind or storm can uproot. So, receive a fresh impartation of wisdom right now, in Jesus’ name.

You must learn the art of giving as a family. Give offerings according to your size. Don’t rob God in your offerings. Ensure that your children also give offerings. You will position your family to be commander of wealth in due course. A tight-fisted mentality is a sure way to remain dry and in lack. It also kills the atmosphere of love in the home.

Wife, you are generally closer to your children, and by nature, are very perceptive beings. It is, therefore, necessary for you to observe your children to know what they do best, where their strengths lie and what their weaknesses are, and help them discover the right vocation to pursue. You are, in essence, a privileged caretaker and your feminity is a great asset. This is the quality that makes you tender-hearted, more compassionate and caring than a man. With it, you can meet the emotional needs of your children. Touch them, care for them, hug them and compliment them. It is the nature in a woman that makes her unable to bear the cry of her baby in the night. A man may sleep through it, but not a mother.

Finally, to fulfil God’s purpose for your marriage the first step is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Number two: To be a keeper and a solution provider requires the grace of God and to access that grace, you must be born again. If you want to be born again you need to say this prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today as a sinner. Forgive me of my Sins. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.
