Marriage is an incomprehensible unification of two different individuals, who come together in a special covenant relationship.  Therefore, Singles, don’t be deceived to think that you can go ahead to marry an unbeliever, with the intention of converting him or her after marriage.  You are not the Holy Spirit! And Whatever God does not approve is doomed from the onset.

 Marriage requires labour and patience to work. Nothing in life is maintenance-free, marriage inclusive. So, work at making it work!

 Spouse, when things are going wrong before they turn to crisis, you must confront in love without rejection. Speak the truth in love always, watching your timing, tone of voice and motives. “Love without truth is hypocrisy, but truth without love is brutality!”

Marriage is a union of two forgivers! It’s all about giving and forgiving, as often as the need arises. When you bring up past guilt of your spouse to date, it shows you have not forgiven and such marriage will not enjoy peace and love. Understand that you can never correct a negative action with a negative reaction.

Singles, before you jump into marriage, understand who you are – your strength, weaknesses, abilities, likes, dislikes, needs, goals for life, expectations, etc. Understand yourself first!

Finally, to fulfil God’s purpose for your marriage the first step is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. Number two: To be a keeper and a solution provider requires the grace of God and to access that grace, you must be born again. If you want to be born again you need to say this prayer:

“Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today as a sinner. Forgive me of my Sins. I believe You died and rose on the third day for my sins. I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.”
